About the Customer
MEIKO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, a customer of our technology partner BCT Technology AG, provides consultation for, designs and builds complete systems worldwide for the professional cleaning and disinfection of dishes and for the additional utilization of leftover food. Every customer receives a solution that is precisely customized to their structural and hygienic requirements, regardless of what industry they are in.
Project Overview
To improve data consistency and collaboration, MEIKO aimed to connect its Autodesk Revit environment for room and facility planning with Siemens Teamcenter. The lack of an existing interface made it difficult to manage project data, coordinate versions, and maintain transparency throughout the project lifecycle. In cooperation with BCT Technology AG and XPLM, a data model was designed that provides full traceability of project relationships. The integration enables seamless transfer and linking of Revit and AutoCAD data within Teamcenter, ensuring clear version control, efficient coordination, and simplified data exchange for complex planning documents such as piping and circuit diagrams.
The new Revit Teamcenter Integration manages building data no longer only as a BIM layer model, but also the individual trades. This is a great benefit.
Solution
XPLM implemented a direct integration of Autodesk Revit into Siemens Teamcenter, enabling MEIKO to manage all building and engineering data within a unified PLM environment. Projects can now be created directly in Revit, automatically generating a data model tailored to MEIKO’s specific requirements. Customer-supplied Revit data is stored in controlled structures and linked to internal NX and AutoCAD design data, ensuring full traceability and version control. The integration also allows the export and management of contractor-specific data, such as piping and circuit diagrams, as DWG and PDF files within Teamcenter—laying the foundation for efficient, transparent, and revision-proof collaboration across disciplines.

Benefits
- The integration enables seamless export of Revit data, separating trade-specific CAD information and storing it as standardized, neutral formats within Teamcenter
- Both overall and discipline-specific BOMs are automatically generated, ensuring consistent data management and alignment with existing systems engineering processes
- Teamcenter now not only manages Revit data as a BIM layer model but also allows precise access to trade-specific information, supporting targeted data utilization across all project stages
