Project Overview
Huisman, a leading supplier of advanced engineering systems for heavy construction and energy industries, sought to integrate its EPLAN workstations into PTC Windchill to enhance data accessibility and standardization. The project focused on aligning technical standards, compliance requirements, and documentation structures while ensuring a familiar user interface and functionality comparable to the previous PLM system. This integration improved collaboration, version control, and transparency across engineering processes.
Once again, the XPLM team won us over with their in-depth knowledge of ECAD and the product development process. They implemented our migration project in a competent, solutionoriented and routine manner.
Solution
XPLM successfully migrated Huisman’s 18 EPLAN workstations from Siemens Teamcenter to PTC Windchill, ensuring a seamless transition with no disruption to ongoing engineering work. The integration was configured to mirror the familiar Teamcenter interface, allowing developers to access, store, and manage projects directly within EPLAN without leaving their environment. XPLM also implemented localized version management and uniform directory structures to meet regional compliance and technical standards, enabling a consistent and reliable PLM workflow across all Huisman sites.
