Project Overview
FAULHABER, a specialist in miniature and microdrive technology, set out to optimize its PCB engineering workflows by integrating the Altium Designer ECAD system into Teamcenter. The project aimed to centralize component management in an SQL database and automate synchronization between Altium Designer and PLM data. The new solution simplifies workflows, increases transparency, and reduces manual effort through automated data exchange and process control.
In both projects XPLM met the tight schedules, demonstrated great experience and competence, both in the design and the implementation of our projects.
Solution
Together with FAULHABER’s internal PLM team, XPLM implemented the direct integration tool Integrate2 to connect Altium Designer with Teamcenter. The solution automates data storage, change management, and release processes directly within the ECAD environment, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all design data. Additionally, centralized component management in Teamcenter now synchronizes automatically with Altium and ERP systems, reducing manual effort and improving design quality.
