Project Overview
Carestream Health, a provider of medical and dental imaging as well as IT solutions, sought to streamline its ECAD library management and BOM creation processes. The project focused on integrating the Mentor ECAD Library with Aras PLM to ensure centralized control of symbols, footprints, and component properties. This integration enabled automated data transfer, standardized BOM generation, and simplified workflows across design and manufacturing teams.
Solution
Working closely with Carestream’s engineering team, XPLM developed and deployed an integration between Mentor Expedition and Aras Innovator to manage the company’s entire ECAD library within PLM. The solution automates the synchronization of parts, symbols, and footprints, streamlines BOM uploads, and updates library data directly through Aras. With its intuitive interface, engineers can now focus on design work instead of manual data handling, achieving greater efficiency and consistency across processes.
